Aleksandra Čereković is a researcher at University of Zagreb, Electrical engineering and computing (FER), Croatia. She received her Diploma (Dipl. Ing) and her Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, in 2006 and 2010, respectively, both from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. In year 2012 she received a PostDoc grant from Croatian Science foundation and she spent three months as s visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at Idiap research institute, Switzerland.
Aleksandra is enrolled in NG-ECA project, a collaborative research work of Department of Telecommunications (FER), Graduate School of Informatics (University of Kyoto) and Faculty of Science and Technology (Seikei University, Tokyo). Besides she is also involved in a collaborative work with Idiap research institute, which is an extension of her research visit. In past she participated in following international projects: COST 2102, Humaine and Similar.
As a PhD student Aleksandra led the project “Multimodal communication with a tour guide ECA” at eNTERFACE '08 workshop in Paris (04/08 – 29/08/2009, Paris) and participated in two international schools, COST 2102 spring school in Dublin (04/08 – 29/08/2008, Dublin) and PEACH summer school in Dubrovnik (09/07 – 11/07/2008, Dubrovnik). She has also co-organized two international schools: eNTERFACE ‟06 workshop on Multimodal Interfaces in Dubrovnik (17/07 – 11/08/2006, Dubrovnik) and PEACH summer school in Dubrovnik (09/07 – 11/07/2008, Dubrovnik). Currently, she is an Organizing Committee Chair of 12th conference of telecommunications, Contel 2013.
She has co-authored over 20 research papers. Her research interests are multimodal communication, social computing, computer vision, machine learning and embodied conversational agents.
